Guided tour at 15:00 ahead of 16:00 film screening.
Set in the beautiful outskirts of Bath, the American Museum is the only museum outside of the US dedicated to the American decorative arts. The extensive collections are housed within a grade I listed building, originally founded as a museum by partners (in life and business) Dallas Pratt and John Judkyn. The site features room recreations of periods in American history, a regular rotation of exhibitions and 125 Acres of grounds.
Taking place in the stables, this screening of Pedro Almodóvar’s short film Strange Way of Life is a fantastic exploration of masculinity, queerness, and the image of the cowboy in traditional Hollywood features. Visitors are encouraged to walk through the American West exhibition before the film.
